The inn's builder Henry Richardi is believed to continue to haunt the property. He built the inn in the 1890s for his bride-to-be, but for unknown reasons they never married. Upon passing, his spirit continued to linger here. The building stood unoccupied for many years. During that time, there have been reports of an eerie light coming from the cupola area.
Today the property has been added to the U.S. Department of the Interior's National Register of Historic Places list.
