The Morris family home once stood in the woods. Story has it that years ago the entire family, which included the mother, father, two children, and maid were murdered when a man shot them. The man ended up riding away with the family horse that he stole. The family ended up being buried here in Anderson Cemetery and today there are reports that the headstone glows on the anniversary of the murder.

I grew up in Decatur in the late 1970s and made several trips to what we use to call Morris cemetery. I believed their Spirits were there. Had the !!!! Scared out of me.
