This music center dates back to the early 1900's and hosts classical, jazz and pop acts including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. The building is believed to be haunted by Ossip Gabrilowitsch, a Russion pianist who became the musical director in 1917. His apparition has been spotted backstages and in the offices and witnesses have reported hearing unexplained footsteps and voices, along with feeling cold spots.

Hi, my husband and I were blessed to attend the Herbie Hancock concert last evening which was amazing, of course! I told my husband that I felt someone tap me on the shoulder twice a lot look back, thinking it was someone behind me, but no! Then someone rubbed against my arm! I just had a dear friend pass and thought it was her, but then saw that it is known to be haunted! I was so excited to hear that and lots of chills through my body! I am blessed to be open to experiences and have had many! YES IT IS REAL!!! Thx Terri
